Budget - 300 million? How should it be split up? - Wed Jul 14, 2010 4:30 pm

I can't take advertising into account, but all three Lord of the Rings films cost all togehter, approximatly, 300 million dollars.

I think alot of the budget should be put into making the visual aspect of the film as good as it can. This can be anything from sets, costumes, bending effects, basicly things that would bring the world to life.

I'm not, however, advocating for a completly visuals driven film life Shyamalan's was, but I do think that the visual aspect was one of the most important aspects of the show.

Other things to consider would be choriography (incredibly important), Actors (The show itself is very character driven, so having good actors is a must).

I think that JNH had the right idea with what insturments to use and how to create a great atmosphere for certain scenes. I think the problem was that his very dynamic score didn't necesarily match up to Shyamalans somewhat more subdued directorial style.

Also, it might be possible to implement some of the track teams themes into the score which might further a sense of connection to the show.
