I want Avan to play Jet if we include him in. Avan doesn't really feel Sokkaish to me also.

Koizilla vs. Tidal Wave, which is better for live-action? - Thu Jul 08, 2010 11:32 pm
My idea still works with the ocean spirit posessing aang and then destroying the FN fleet. It's similar to the scene in "The Avatars Return" because that's what it's supposed to be like. That scene probably won't be in the movie, so it doesn't matter if in the movie that scene is similar to another scene in the show.

I had an idea how to get the mechanist in, and a lot of the other filler plots

Kyoshi Warriors/Blue Spirit? That gives me another idea.... (this is adding on to the idea I posted 2 posts back) Instead of Aang going to the NAT when the gAang arrives at Kyoshi Island, he stays, and pretty much the same thing happens, but after the prison break out, he is nowhere to be found. Katara finds Aang's staff, and starts to get worried because Aang would never leave his staff behind, which leads her to believe he's been captured. The scene then transitions to a ship, with Zhao on the deck. A soldier comes up to him and says "Commander Zhao, the avatar has been successfully captured, he was just delivered to us. But where are we going to keep him imprisoned?" Zhao says that they are going to take him to the NAT, because it now a base owned by the FN where weapons are developed. They arrive at the NAT, and we see the temple is inhabited by people. The mechanist comes up to Zhao and asks "What are you doing here? We've already gave you all the machines we owe you this month". Zhao tells him that he is not here for contraptions, but he is carrying a war prisoner and needs a place to keep him. Zhao says if he declines, then he will burn down the temple. The mechanist reluctantly shows Zhao an old prison hold room. Meanwhile, Katara, Sokka, and Suki continue on their search to find Aang to no avail.
The scene cuts back to Aang, and he awakes to find himself in chains in a dark room. Zhao walks in, says some stuff to Aang, then leaves. Then the Blue Spirit comes in, and basically the same thing happens as in the show, except Aang hides Zuko(when he is unconscious) on Zhao's ship, so he can safely escape on his own, without harming the temples inhabitants. Zhao then leaves the island, believing the avatar has fled somewhere else. Aang then meets up with the mechanist. Aang ask him if he is an Air Nomad, and the mechanist replies with no, and explains his backstory(but leaves out that he makes weapons for the Fire Nation). Aang then sees people with gliders up ahead, and asks if they are airbenders, and again the mechanist says no, and explains that. Aang says that he is an airbender, and the avatar, and asks if he can borrow on of those gliders so he can get back to his friends. The mechanist gives Aang a glider, and then Aang leaves the temple.
Then the rest is pretty much the same, except for adding Aang's reunion with Katara and Sokka.

Well Haru wasn't really important at all in the show, I have a couple ideas to incorporate Haru(if it's really needed) and the Blue Spirit plot(to make it so it's not just filler). How Haru could be fitted in, is instead of Katara and Sokka hearing a FN soldier say theres a commotion at the prison, he says "We found an earthbending boy, were gonna need backup" or something like that. They follow the soldiers and find about 5 soldiers trying to arrest a boy about 15 years old that has pebbles hovering in his hands. The boy bends them at the soldiers, but then one soldier sneaks up behind him and grabs his arms. Thats when Katara and Sokka come to the rescue, but then just end up getting captured too. On their way to the prison, Katara and Sokka introduce themselves to the boy, and ask the boy his name, which he responds "Haru". Then they get inside the prison, Haru meets his father, they have a reunion, then the Kyoshi Warriors come trying to break into the prison and so on.
Also notice I didn't make Jet evil. That's because in Ba Sing Se, Jets death will mean so much more(He'll still get brainwashed and everything though)

I posted an idea in the plots that need to be in the movie thread.
'What about this: Warriors Of Kyoshi/Imprisoned/Jet/Northern Air Temple? Aang leaves for the NAT after the gAang arrives at an island they decide it would be a good resting place. Then while Aang is gone, Katara and Sokka explore the island and find Kyoshi village. They find out from local villagers that the Fire Nation has been occupying this area and have a metal prison on the other side of the island where they keep the earthbenders. They explain not even their toughest warriors could keep out the Fire Nation, and all their best efforts have failed. Katara explains to Sokka that they have to help these people and then the scene cuts to Aang at the NAT. After his scene is over, we see fire nation soldiers panicking at Kyoshi village and Katara and Sokka overhear them saying that there's some sort of commotion at the prison. Katara and Sokka sneak over to the prison and hide behind some bushes to see the Kyoshi Warriors trying another effort to break open the prison. Katara convinces Sokka to help them and they join in on the fight. Some action scenes go on, and during one, Sokka and Suki are surrounded by soldiers and Sokka makes a comment like "Nice fighting, for a girl." and then Suki replies "You thought that was impressive?" followed by her taking out all of the soldiers while Sokka is still struggling to take out one of them. Jet comes in at one point and basically helps finish the battle and free the prisoners. Suki asks Jet who he is because she has never seen him before. He explains that he snuck on a FN ship heading here that was carrying weapons, when the ship arrived, he dumped all the weapons off the ship and then got off the ship, only to find a village imprisoned by the Fire Nation. His duty as a freedom fighter told him he he had to help rid this island of the Fire Nation.
Then there's more of Aang at the NAT.
After that Sokka, Katara, and Jet ward off the rest of the Fire Nation on the island and free the earthbenders. Aang returns meets Jet and the Kyoshi Warriors and tells them he's the avatar. He says that he is sorry for not being around and not being able to help them. Jet says he has to get back to his home, and he'll just sneak onto one of the fleeing FN ships heading toward the EK. Katara and Sokka say that they also need to get going because they need to get to the NWT to find a waterbending teacher for Aang. Suki says goodbye and thanks them for all their help, and they can start fixing the damage the FN has done to their home.
I wrote this on my iPod so there is probably many typos and mistakes. But how does that sound? '

Waterbent wrote:I like most of the ideas here so far. The only thing is I'd like if we could fit Jet's storyline in somehow. It helps give Katara's character some growth and sets up his larger storyline in the second - unless you guys want to wait to introduce him until then, which would be okay... just trying to think about where it'd fit best.
I posted an idea on the page before. Katara and Sokka could meet Jet while Aang is at the NAT or the SAT
Opening? - Sun Jul 04, 2010 6:07 pm
I changed the voice over a bit because it didn't make sense to me. "When the avatar kept balance between Water Tribes, Earth kingdom, Fire Nation, and Air Nomads. But that all changed with the Fire Nation attacked." It didn't change when the Fire Nation attacked. The avatar stopped keeping balance when he disappeared, allowing the Fire Nation to attack.

I don't really like the idea of the Kyoshi Warriors going to the NWT but it's fine. I found a problem though, how are they going to get there? Appa can't fit Aang, Katara, Sokka, and the Kyoshi Warriors. Maybe only Suki should go?

I don't like the idea of the Kyoshi Warriors fighting at the NWT. I mean what would they do exactly? They're not benders, and I'm pretty sure their skills won't be too useful there. Plus it conflicts with Sukka, Sokkas relationship with Suki would feel
really awkward considering she was there when Sokka kissed Yue right before her death.
Opening? - Sat Jul 03, 2010 4:23 am
How do you think the opening of the movie should be like? I think it should be similar to the shows 1st episode, with a similar narrative and visuals.
Heres an opening I wrote thats slightly different then Kataras narration in the opening of the 1st episode:
Katara: “Water, Earth, Fire, Air, My grandmother used to tell me stories about the old days, a time of peace and prosperity, when the Avatar kept balance between Water Tribes, Earth Kingdom, Fire Nation, and Air Nomads. But that all changed when the Avatar mysteriously disappeared, letting the Fire Nation declare war. Only the Avatar could master all four elements and stop the ruthless Fire Nation from winning the war, but when the world need him most, he vanished. 100 years have passed, and the Fire Nation is almost nearing victory in the war. Some people believe the Avatar was never reborn into the Air Nomads, and the cycle was broken. But I still have hope, I believe the avatar will someday return, and return balance to our world.”
